August Wright
“Being an author is allowing the world a glimpse into the fantastical, messy part of your mind that refuses to be silenced.”
When not conjuring up new words and worlds, you’ll find this mom of three haunting bookshops, chasing the echoes of forgotten lives in random cemeteries, or immersing herself in the eerie atmospheres of horror films.
August Wright has always had a passion for storytelling, from writing poetry and short stories as a teen, to writing full-length fanfictions, earning over one million readers on Wattpad.
Her debut novel, Conceal Me, a vampire romance, is currently in the works. Stay tuned!

“She was not sure how long she’d been running, but she knew that the muscles of her body were screaming in continual protest. How long has it been since she had eaten? Slept? She couldn’t remember. She couldn’t remember anything other than running and the impending sense of doom that incessantly told her she needed to escape.
A sudden snap of a twig sent a jolt of terror through her. She spun around, her eyes wide, but saw nothing. The forest was playing tricks on her, its eerie stillness amplifying every sound, every movement. She felt as though she was being watched, hunted by unseen eyes that lurked in the shadows. Eyes she instinctively knew were green.
“Where are you, little bird?” a voice suddenly called out, echoing in the withered woods around her.”
